Creating this blog has been quite a journey for me, there were many things that I have learned as well as struggled with. I first started my blog on blogger, after publishing a few posts and editing the blog it didn't turn out the way I hoped it would, so I then decided to shift to WordPress, through WordPress I was able to create a better aesthetic and overall look to the blog, but I still found it quite hard to personalise the blog a bit more and add more widgets to it, so lastly I decided to give Wix a go which had all the tools I needed and was the least complicated out of all the other platforms I have used.

Compared to my first mock blog, my final blog looks much more put together, I had really loud backgrounds during the mock blog and I only paid attention to it when I saw it up on the screen while I was presenting, It didn't fit the subtle and classic look I was going for and so I decided to edit it to fit my expectations.

Although I was pretty confident with my blog overall, Feedback from class played a huge role on my blog as well as my knowledge about blogs, I was able to get new inspiration and guidance from all my classmates, I even asked for feedback from family back home to see how their experience was overall as users, which also greatly impacted some of the changes that were made to the blog.

I was quite nervous jumping into this project as I lacked technology skills, especially when it came to doing the podcasts, finding a suitable app to make the podcasts was quite complicated but in the end, I managed to find something I could work with, I used an app called CapCut which was a recommendation by a YouTuber that I follow and found it to be perfect for me as it was easy to use and edit the podcasts through the app. I even created other personal projects such as vlogs using that app as I enjoyed it so much!

Creating this blog was a huge learning journey for me as I lacked technical skills and this made me quite scared when I first started, but slowly as I began to get more confident with the applications and software's I began to see that it’s quite easy and all it needs is practice and feedback.

Although I dread this part but presenting my blog to the class is what helped me see the gaps that I needed to fix in my blog, maybe it’s because you see it on a big screen or just breaking down your work to other people that help you identify specific gaps that you need to fix in your blog. It was one of the main things that influenced most of the changes that were made to the blog.

One thing I wish I would have done more is to ask for guidance and help rather than trying to figure everything out by myself, I would have maybe asked someone who is more experienced with blogs to maybe show me shortcuts or even new additions I can make to improve the overall layout and function of the blog. Moreover, although I am extremely satisfied with the overall blog, I think I could further improve it by taking more risks and try adding more creative tools to make my blog stand out more.
